I've been passionate about the Classical world for most of my life and I love to share the amazing literature, languages, art and history of the Greeks and Romans with others.

My Story
I started learning Latin aged 11 and ancient Greek when I was 13. I was intriuged by these strange civilisations, which are the foundation of our culture but simultaneously so different. As I got older, I enjoyed these subjects more and more until I visited Athens as an impressionable 17 year old and was awe-struck by what I saw. Thence followed: three summers of archaeology on Kythera; 1 Cambridge degree; and 14 years of teaching experience in some of the country's top schools. I am now a full-time mater, keeping the Classics on the side. I am DBS checked and I keep nicely quiet in libraries (so I can be trusted!).
